Maybelline Fruity Jelly Tempting Coffee Review

Hello there Lovely Ladies!!!!

I have been away and crazed with my final year exams. No time for anything!!!!

Since Winter is here, I will be reviewing winter care products in this blog on a regular basis.

The first one is Maybelline Fruity Jelly Lip Gloss in Tempting Coffee.

Cost 150 INR for 10 ml

Available at :- I purchased it from Urbantouch.com

I am not a fan of tube lip glosses but since this one is from Maybelline, I thought of giving it a try. This one in Tempting Coffee variant has no shimmer particles in it. Just plain sheer color. I would just list down the pros and cons of this Lip Gloss.

Pros
1. The color turnout is good.
2. The fragrance is just right. Not too mild or strong.
3. Tastes yum!!!! Sweet taste with a hint of coffee.
4. Hygienic tube applicator.
5. Consistency is fairly smooth even in winters.

Cons
1. Staying Power is very less
2. Availability is an issue

Rating: - 3/5

Would I repurchase it?
No. I am more keen on trying the latest Baby Lips Range

Tip : - Before buying any Lip product, swatch it on the fingers. The color is close to our lip color giving a fair judgement about the color. :)

And I blushed Scarlet ;)

Hello there beauties :) I have finally succumbed to the Scarlet Red Lips and Nails after the ever gorgeous Kareena pulled it off with utmost elan in Heroine.

I always thought this color would look good only on fair complexion but I was pleasantly surprised when my wheatish complexion pulled off this look well. The lipstick is from Chambor and the nail paint is from a leeser known brand Nail Trend. These nail paints are dirt cheap and available at Reliance Trends all over(review later) :D

Avoid: -
1. Wearing any color that clashes with this one. Go for beige, white or black.
2. Heavy eye make up will make you look ghastly. Just one single stroke of eye liner on the upper lids will work well.
3. Heavy ear rings are a strict no no.
4. Wearing it during the day. Tone it down with a mauve or maroon if you need to.
5. Tying your hair in a tight bun, let few strands frame your face. Takes the attention away from any bright color.

Keep the above tips in mind and you are good to go with the Scarlet Red  ;)

Lomani Paris Solara Deo Review

Hello there beauties :)

When it comes to deodorants, I don't remember buying the same one over and over again. I prefer experimenting with fragrances and I am currently using this one.

I had to settle for this one when I was originally Looking for Nike. The store was out of the Pure Lightness one so I thought to go for this one. It's a nice affordable deodorant which is pleasant and girly falling under the woody category. It's neither to strong nor light. The quantity is good for the price and has been well received.

Where? : - Available at cosmetic stores.
How Much? : - ? INR 150

Pros: -
Affordable
Availability
Skin friendly
No white patches

Cons: -
Staying Power is just about okay

Verdict: -
3.5/5

Affordable
Easily Available
Gives a glossy finish without shimmers
Minty flavor which I get tempted to lick ;-)

Slightly runny in Summers.

Dramatic eye make up- Look 1

Starting with a series of eye make up styles, this is my first one. This can be sported only in the evening as it gets too over the top for a day wear. Apply eye liner in the usual way and slightly elongate it with a curve towards the end. Apply dark and thick strokes. Apply dark kajal only in 3/4th part of lower lid and finish it with slender stroke. Mascara will add more volume if you have small eyes. Shimmer is recommended for a more glamorous look and you will dazzle :)

The hair accessory I simply love !!!!

I found these cute little flower clips at a local store and thought, they look really frivolous man, but hell no!!! They look really cute and add a girly charm to any hairstyle that you try. Looks good mainly on curly and wavy hair. It will look good on straight hair as well if it has a good texture.  I tried these floral pieces on 5 different hair styles. You can get them for about 10-15 bucks each

1. Let it loose.
If you want to leave your hair loose, this clip can be worn at the side, near the ear depending on your comfort level. Make sure u don't wear ear rings as they will look over the top with these clips.

2. Flirty side bun
This one is ideal for rainy days where you want your hair to just frame your face and protect it at the same time. Just make a side pony tail and twist a bun to your side, secure it with pins and you are good to go. Add this flower clip for a casual and flirty touch. Medium length ear rings add a classy touch.

3. The classic half pony
Take few strands and secure it with an elastic band. Make sure u let few strands fall on your face for that messy look. Clip on this flower clip to add a twist to the boring hairstyle. Long ear rings can be worn with this hair style.

4. The cute side pigtail.
My personal favourite coz its hassle free yet sexy.  Add this flower pin to give a character to the plain boring hairstyle. Loops and long ear rings compliment this hairstyle well.

5. The side plait.
This is one classy look ideal for summers. The hair swept to the side and braided down gives an air of relief. It is specially recommended if you have long and heavy tresses. You can even experiment with the fishtail braid and clip this flower pin at the base where you have tied the elastic band. Long ear rings or even simple tops would go well with this style.

Smokey blue eyes ;)

This is a new look I tried and thought I should share it with you gals. This is a blend of blue, black and grey eye shadow. In the picture you can see the one which I have taken without flash, it a mysterious smokey blue look. Meant only for evening wear, sport a single colored outfit and keep the lip make up simple. Go dramatic with the accessories. I would also recommend a touch of gold shimmer and mascara to add more character to the eyes.

What you need:- Kajal, eye liner, eye shadow cakes in blue, black and grey, gold shimmer and mascara optional.

How long it takes:- Just 10 minutes flat. Non fussy and classy ;)

Sport it with :- The LBD is ideal for this...will look good even on black sarees. Hair should be left messy and wavy as straightened hair will give a goth look.

Hot pink is my pick ;)

Move over the scarlet red ladies, hot pink is my pick of the season.

The bright red nails are sported by tons of gals out there. Move on from it and experiment with hotter shades. Puhleez, the neon colors are such a pain in the eyes. You look a Asian Paints employee sporting shade cards for kennels, unless you are like 13. Be a lady and keep it stylish :) This color will complement gals of any complexion unlike the red which is only meant for fair gals :)

StreetWear Luscious lips Truly Mauve review

This one from StreetWear is a must have for all the ladies out there who prefer to keep it simple and elegant.
I have been using this over a year now and I must say it's an amazing product. Generally I prefer to be sans make up except for Kajal, so this color works perfectly for me for days I want to be all decked up. It blends well with your natural lip color well and gives an illusion of the perfect pout. Depending on the amount you apply, this color can be worn as a day wear and even as an evening wear if you blend it with a gloss of a shade darker than this one. It gives an illusion of reddish lips when blended with a lip balm. It comes in a sturdy, classy silver case, weighs around 4 gms. The best part is, it doesn't turn flaky when you eat or drink anything. It just fades a little with time which can always be fixed with a touch up. The moisture is simply locked in it. It glides smoothly and evenly on your lips and just dabbing it on gives an illusion of naturally exfoliated lips :)  The fragrance is not very obvious, much like how lipsticks have always smelled unlike StreetWear Lip gloss which has a yummy fruity fragrance(Review coming soon) Try it, you won't be disappointed.

How much:- Rs 380 (A bit too much I know, but you won't be disappointed :) )
Where to buy:- It's available across all lifestyle stores including Big Bazaar.

Hate floaters??? Yup...so do I :(

Hey pretty ladies :) The monsoons are here. So is the muck and water. And it sucks. Many of you out there hate big floaters, and so do I. So, a simple tip for all of you to enjoy the rains with style ;)

The floaters are comfortable I know, but I hate them. They look really big and boyish. Instead go for these strappy pairs. Elegant ones in black, white or burgundy. They look simple and are oh so comfortable to wear. On days when it isn't pouring, go for slip ons. Team them up with knee length capris or skirts. Throw on a anklet to add a classy touch to it and you are good to go ;)

Colorbar Kohl Review

Okay I must say I was  little skeptical about changing my Kajal brand since it is something I just can't live without since almost 10 years :D I am a Himalaya addict since it is the safest among all other brands. Even Lotus herbals is something I can safely recommend.
I was impressed with the Colorbar Kajal. It comes in a stylish silver pack. It is a hassle free thick pencil which can be sharpened for further use. It comes with a small cover case which ensures it is away from dust and dirt. It's the blackest Kajal so far. (girls I know blackest is a stupid term but U will know what I mean) On a single stroke application on my hand, u can see black color.
The best part of this Kajal is that it is ultra black. I had applied it as 2 stroke in my eye and it gives a good jet black line. It is safe to apply inside. I would recommend it since I wear contact lenses and I have to be very careful about the eye make up products, this is really safe. No redness, watering or irritation. At the end of the day comes off with a soft tissue or simply by washing your face :) It is very smooth and doesn't hurt unlike most of the pencil Kajals. It stays on for a long time. A repeated application required after 4-5 hours :)
The one thing you have to be careful about is that it smudges a little. You can avoid that by applying loose powder before applying Kajal and you are good to go :)

How much:- Rs 150 (good value for money)

Where to buy:- I got it from Urbantouch.com, which is a reliable portal for branded stuff. The discount is almost nil but you can rely on the product for originality. Else, it is available in most of the branded cosmetic stores :)

Classy splash of colors :)

Hey all you cute gals out there :) This is my first post in the Panache Horizon. This is one thing that is most unlikely of me to buy since I hate anything that has more than 2 colors :P Even clothes. But these cute steals is something I just couldn't resist to buy. They are just perfect to brighten up any casual thing you wear to college.

The bag is just perfect for college. It has 3 big partitions for books, files and your essentials ;) and 1 small pocket for keys and ID. It is big enough to hold your files and strong to hold even a small Netbook. I wouldn't recommend carrying laptop in this bag since it's a street pick and you don't want to experiment with your expensive lappy right??? The strap is adjustable and makes it easy to carry even as a hand bag. What I didn't like is that there is only one strap and the material is kind of disappointing. Overall a good pick for girls like me who still play the matching matching game :) This will go with all your tops and tees :)
Comes in 3 colors, Pink, Black and Navy blue. I picked pink coz it's slightly brighter and feminine.
How much:- Rs 150
Where to buy :- I picked it from Kalyan, Available in most of the shopping stalls across the city.

The shoes, actually are mojris. Which is why you can't distinguish between right and left :D It's unlike other desi mojris which makes them more like slip ons. Comfortable, stylish and again goes with kurtis, patialis, tops and skirts. Flat soled and very comfortable. Since my shoe size is more than the conventional sizes I didn't have a chance to bargain. Avoid them on days when it is raining heavily. Might slip away from your feet :)
How much:- Rs 250
Where to buy:- Again my large feet has no choices in Mumbai, so I picked em up from Jaipur. It's available across the city. Don't pay more than Rs 150

Happy shopping ladies ;)
